I don’t know why, with all the… race-horror (?) I hear about by being on tumblr, but this really gets to me, like it makes me feel all shaky in my guts. I think about all the times I went to the hospital with my mom when she was extremely sick, the doctor who arched his brow and told her to “be careful selling oxycontin on the rez” (which… she’s mexican, not native american), just how… this could happen to her. It really could.
